That's what everyone is aiming for. If Reps prolong the debate, it is unlikely that they'll support it because elections will be right around the corner. If they fail to support CIR/DA, they will most likely pay on election day. If they pass CIR quickly, their supporters might not punish them on election day.

Dems want this done asap so that they can start counting the future votes their party will have and plus they've been advocating for CIR for a while now.

This needs to be done ASAP if it's going to have a chance. Honestly, I'm ok with a long path to citizenship for CIR. For the DA, I think green cards in a few years is fair; although immediate green cards for those who have already graduated would make sense since we're being discriminated for having EAD's.
