Where are we advocating for criminals here? I, we, have a problem where more than half of deportations do not involve criminals, as it is currently the case. Criminal activity hasn't been defined for CIR yet. For example, people driving without a license are being left off the hook, and I don't agree. Even if is not DUI, you can bankrupt someone, a family by being uninsured as you aren't a licensed driver. And I don't even go into medical liability should someone get injured.
It's easy for you to blabber your mouth off as you are not the one being deported; it does anger me that parents and workers are being expelled. The statistics show it; look up Syracuse University's TRAC

The table shows deportation orders sough by "criminal activity" vs. ulawful status;
the percentage of "criminal activity" deportation cases is a whooping...1%!! This should help you see my point, if you're interested.
