One of the nice things I remember is that he expressed himself as optimistic when a conservative constituent said that the Republican Party would never win the Latino vote, even with immigration reform, and that the Democrats are politicizing the issue for political gain. Again, Flake comes across as very pragmatic and overlooks pessimistic political outlooks.
