Well,Today it is officially on the schedule in the Senate Judiciary to start debate and the amendment process on S.744 for May 9th.The text in S.744
could change according to Schumer before the mark-up process and Grassley took issue with that due to having a specific amendment in mind that might not be germaine to changed legislation.Schumer mentioned it would probably be a good idea if Senators submitting amendments let the Gang of 8 know first before submitting them and said some of the changes are cosmetic.
I say let's see how everything goes first and we work within the context of where the legislation is going to make more favorable or to maintain the Dream act provisions within because as I write this the first
attack on the Dream act provision has begun by Senator Sessions.I also believe Grassley mentioned he will also try to remove as many discretionary waivers as possible by amending the bill.
