Ok, I see. I can see that you probably want to hold out a bit and wait for him because you don't want to move on too soon and then miss your chance with him, right? (in addition to all the history that you both have). Here's the thing though, he's blatantly telling you that you both have no future together, that's ALL you need to know. Don't wait for him, move on from him, he's slowly but steadily friendzoning you.
