So in other words, the Republican Party is willing to let people stay in America as long as they're part of a pool of indentured labor with no rights of citizenship, including access to government programs that are supported by the tax revenues generated by their work and contributions to the economy. Good enough to make our business buddies wealthy, but not good enough to be viewed as Americans.

As a practical matter, the country may have to swallow this to get something done, but I find it morally repugnant.
