After my employment was done at the consulate, I automatically went back to my "undocumented status" even though the visa was valid for a year but technically only valid for my duration of employment. After those three months, I've lived in 4 different cities and worked with various employers. It seems as if though the officer in charge of my case is either really picky or just pulling my chain! They specifically requested evidence that I am no longer employed by the consulate AND after 11 years since I worked there! Talk about lacking "common sense." Anyways, tomorrow is day 30 of waiting for the California center to give me response of the evidence I submitted, which are two letters, one from the General Consul and the second from the Vice-Consul who I worked under stating that their records indicate that I have not been employed by the consulate after 2001. Both letters on "official" government letterhead paper. Not only has it been a frustrating experience, but I hope that the officer looking at my case is satisfied with the "evidence" provided. In the meantime, I hope and pray that my RFE and all of yours go smoothly and have a positive outcome!

Good luck. Maybe the officer was having a 'bad hair day'...I'm sure what you sent will be enough.
