After a long and very productive work week, during which we were short-staffed and I performed the work of two people, triaged dozens of phone calls from high-risk patients and helped patients in need of urgent care, where hundreds of dollars in taxes are withheld from my payroll, it amuses me to look here and see the tunnel-vision and incompassionate posts of the inexperienced and immature who believe that their own lives are models of conduct for others. Ha!
These guys are inadmissible but not deportable because they qualify for DACA - now their lawyers will have to find a way around this argument. These people are on U.S. soil now and I highly doubt it that they are going to be expelled, so get over it. And no, if they get permission to stay it won't hurt any one of you or me or the CIR legislation; they will get a work permit and authorization to live here while their cases make it throught the court system. If you're a DACA recipient, you already have your work permit and authorization to live here, and not one of you are the 'decider' of these individuals' fates, nor are any of us legally trained to assert what should be done with them.
