I don't see why these cases can't be legitimate cases for asylum. It's no secret that some parts of Mexico are hell holes and are overrun by drug cartels and are plagued by violence. The Dream9 showed that it may be possible to come to the U.S. by using that requirement even if they themselves aren't successful because they left willingly, then tried to come back right away.

I'm not sure what people you're referring to that lived here and left, but some of those people didn't come here willingly, like those who would have qualified for DACA but left before it was created.
