What evidence there is of progress on immigration reform?

Our people have to protest and get arrested for our 'ally' the President to pay attention - arrests, detention and deportations continue, there was not a really comprehensive review of those he's ordered deported, the courtcase backlog hasn't abated, etc. Oh, and I hear that some our 'allies' and 'advoates' are pushing for a real hard-a@@ to be the next DHS secretary in hopes to persuade the Repubs to agree to a legalization program. You know, because giving them everything they've asked for withtout really attaining progress in this issue is the Democratic play.
