i think the longer you wait to respond to a RFE the longer it gets them to approve you.
it took me a month a half to respond to the 1st RFE and three months later, they sent a 2nd RFE which i responded within one week and they received it on October 22nd; so now, i am anxiously waiting and HOPEFULLY i will get something next week.
i hope we all 2012 applicants get approved by the end of this year!
