Well if a Republican president is elected and he signs an executive order to deport everyone (not sure what kind of sane president would do this), then he/she would probably do it anyway without regard to any temporary immigration relief running at the time.

Something has to give, it might as well be now so temp relief is accessible as soon as possible.
