Out of curiosity, what pushes you to enlist ? Is it the benefits or the "hero" status? or is it something more?

Don't get me wrong,

I used to dream of going into the Airforce and a huge fan of the military-only dream act but as time goes by and obtaining a good paying job and seeing how we are hated by the republicans I slowly changed my mind.

Why die for a country who doesn't respect you or your family? nomsayin? I know the military can lead into good careers after service but one can also obtain such experience with the use of other channels.
