rock steady
Listen, we are probably all wondering what the next step is going to be. We don't really know when the Defense Authorization bill will be brought up again. In the meantime, let's not waste time by asking each other when this or that will be brought up. If it's going to be brought up, it will be in the news or one of us will post it on the site. Some popular estimates are that the Defense Authorization bill will be brought up again in September. I don't think we need to ask what to do until then.

Just because no action was taken yesterday doesn't mean we stop doing work. We have busy lives I know, but there is absolutely no excuse, and I mean NO EXCUSE for not calling. Yes, we should continue with our mundane tasks each day, but we must also somehow find a way to work calling/writing/faxing into our schedules. I made about 15 calls while I rested in between sets at the gym this morning. Find a way to make it part of your life. Program those numbers into your cell phones and make calls each day. For those of you who are constituents of borderline Senators, you should be calling them relentlessly.

I hate to make generalizations and please forgive me if I am, but it seems that since we heard that the defense bill was to be shelved, we lost focus and were more interested in figuring out exactly when this or that will happen or having arguments with each other online. It's good to step back and evaluate where we are in the process, but don't let that feeling linger for too long. We must not lose focus on the task at hand. We have been working this campaign for too long to be asking questions about what we should do or how to find things.

With that said, please keep calling!
