Also, how in the world are unaccompanied children going to survive/establish themselves here? They won't have the means to do so-they will want welfare, and in turn they will likely turn to crime as a means of supporting themselves. What about those immigrants who followed the proper procedures to become legal immigrants in this country? Who waited in line and waited before coming to America? Don't you think we were a slap in the face for them? I see that daca has also granted you this feeling of superiority rather than compassion and understanding for those who are now in the position we were in. Shelter?! You don't think these children deserve shelter? You think that because you were not granted such things, that these children definitely don't deserve any help? You are both a complete joke.
I acknowledge that a) these children should not have been sent here alone and b) that it is going to be used against us and may have a negative impact on passing immigration reform. Having said that, I don't believe that gives us the right to all of a sudden feel more "established" and more important than those children. We need to fix this problem but throwing such negative opinions towards these INNOCENT (yes, they are children, not adults) human beings shows how much of a hypocrite you are. I've put far too much energy into this thread.
