I acknowledge that a) these children should not have been sent here alone and b) that it is going to be used against us and may have a negative impact on passing immigration reform. Having said that, I don't believe that gives us the right to all of a sudden feel more "established" and more important than those children. We need to fix this problem but throwing such negative opinions towards these INNOCENT (yes, they are children, not adults) human beings shows how much of a hypocrite you are. I've put far too much energy into this thread.

I think you need to be more realistic! You need to give priority to this country first before you consider other countries. You need to give priority to your own kids first before you consider kids from other countries.
The country we are living in cannot afford to feed the kids of the ENTIRE world. I do have sympathy for these unaccompanied kids. However, that does not mean the US as a country needs to feed them (temporarily, maybe!). They have their OWN COUNTRY to take care of them. If you think this country of the US should feed the children of the entire planet, you are too mean to this country of the US and you are too mean to your own kids/future generations.
Finally, not all kids are innocent. There are also suicide bombers who are kids/children. Stop being naive! Be realistic!
