One should not need to be a public figure to be able to have his/her voice heard. The work is done every day by people fighting their cases, losing their money in the process, perhaps losing their jobs, and worse, losing family members. Every single one of these things I've listed has happened to me at some point in this process.
I am an older dreamer; I do not have an attorney; I had to contact DHS on my own. I hope that things go well. Like me, there are millions.
I do not begrudge him getting a permit; much less the other individuals listed. But it is disingenuous to not see that this whole thing is not primarily self-serving to him.
P.S. For those of you on Twitter, "advocates" troll this site without participating, and you'll probably see some summarized version of our posts as "original" tweets soon. I've noticed this pattern for a while.
