The immigration bill passed the then Democrat Senate and Obama was going to sign it. If the Republicans would have brought it to a vote and it passed (which some say it would have), do you really think Obama would have vetoed it?

Spoiler Alert: Obama's not the problem. The vast majority of Democrats are not the problem here. Yes, the timing could have been better insofar as putting an immigration reform bill to Congress, but ultimately, do you really think a Republican majority like the one we have now would really pass such a bill without it being punitive?

It's this kind of attitude that is unfortunately pervasive among young, voter-eligible USC and why voter turnout among people 18-30 is so low. There IS a difference between the Democrats and Republicans, in spite of what one would believe.
