It seems all they have to do is this tactic and even original DACA beneficiaries won't be able to renew or have their work permits put on freeze rendering them useless.

Its all a political game! Republicans WANT the immigrant vote. Its obvious to most that they don't have our back so they play with coded language constantly thinking if they refrain from going unhinged like trump, latinos and other immigrant groups will still vote for them which works since there are a lot of latinos that are republicans.
DACA was low key...not too many got relief so they let it slide but once The admin announced expanded DACA especially DAPA --all bets were off as they have to pander to their cukoo, bigoted, racist core voters. They also constantly think they need to put Obama in his place as he constantly does whatever he sees fit and refuses to embrace his role as a puppet.
