Hi everyone.
My local congressman's office just got back to me with the following:
"I reached out to our contact at USCIS Tampa and they advised that your case is under the jurisdiction of the Nebraska USCIS office. I have sent an expedited inquiry request to that office but the Tampa office was able to advise that the delay appears to be back ground check related and your case cannot move forward until that process is completed. I will let you know when I hear back from the Nebraska USCIS and I cannot give you a time frame of when I will hear back."
This makes absolutely no sense to me. My case is simple, I have no criminal record or advance parole. Why would it take 4 months to complete a background check? This seems like an excuse for this ridiculous delay. I will lose my job in 6 days and there's nothing I can do. This has beenthe most stressful process ever.
