My call with USCIS didn't really go well and it wasn't for lack of politeness on my end. The customer service reps careless indifference to my situation was the cherry on top of this whole shit sundae.

First off he told me that if I lose my job thats just "collateral damage" and that I should be thankful for Obama passing this law "in 2006 or whatever for illegals." He repeated the same line over and over again. That I should be patient.

Well, being patient hasn't done anything for me and now i may lose my job because of it.

They certainly cashed our checks fast enough.

This whole process has been equal parts infuriating, sad, humiliating and just plain frustrating. I expire on 9/1 and i'm thinking of just telling my boss today about my whole situation. I cant just tell them before it expires.

UGHGHGHG.

I suggest you do speak with them, at least they know you are being honest. You have done your part in submitting the documents in a timely matter at this point it is out of your hands. "those who speak the truth shall not be punished" I spoke with my HR and they took it upon themselves to contact USCIS directly so she what they can do on their end.
