That was pretty much it. We were with her maybe for 10 minutes. She said it would take a couple days to get a decision but I got a text on the uber ride home saying my case status had changed. Logged into the website from my phone and it said my green card was in production. should take about another week to be in my hands.
We paid $2,500 for a lawyer to help us through the process (including AP). It was totally worth it to have that peace of mind. Here's my timeline:
Sent AOS Packet: 4/12/2016
Did Biometrics: 5/8/2016
Received date for interview: 5/23/2016 (interview: 8/15/16)
Received EAD/AP: 7/18/2016
Interview and Approval: 8/15/2016
