O ok I see! My EAD doesn't expire till December 2017 as well but I applied for one anyways because in case trump gets elected as president and if he ends DACA atleast I'll have a EAD through AOS (c)(9) and not through DACA (c)(33), so I'll continue working while waiting for green card.
