I just joined right now. My work permit is expiring 10/09. My job, a major healthcare provider has decided to terminate me on that day. I was holding onto hope that I would be put on a leave of absence. However HR contacted their legal team to ask, and they said they will fire me. I am a mess, and I have barely been at this job that I liked for 4 months. I am just going to disappear from the job on that date. I told my supervisor about the situation, and he was supportive. However he was surprised about what it's like to be a DACA worker. I don't know if people will find out at work.
I knew something was wrong with this renewal. Ever since I started my job I had been saving money.
Today is day 91 I think.

This renewal has been so frustrating. I hope USCIS gets their act together soon. I lost my job 4 days after getting the promotion, for which I had worked for 3 1/2 years. I have done absolutely everything possible and everyone with USCIS is so useless. All I keep on getting is, "I'm so sorry, I understand it can be frustrating". They need to put themselves in our shoes, we can't get any aid, no one will pay our cars or mortgage. Some of us are losing jobs that do not come up every single day. I'll have to start all over again and pray my position becomes available soon. I truly hope we all get approved soon and we can forget about this ordeal. Good luck everyone...
