Guys, my congresswoman sent me some information that might be beneficial for some of you. I had my DACA and EAD approved last Thursday, and now in the long wait for the card to come in. I told my congresswoman rep that I can't go to work till I have that new EAD card in hand. They reached out to the USCIS field director regarding this, and this was their response:

"According to eVerify your constituent may present the I-797, Approval Notice for the I-765 to the employer after they have been hired and accepted a position with a company

The document is valid proof of authorization to work for 90 days while the card is in production. After the card is received, the employer may complete Section 2 of the I-9 and run the card in the eVerify system at that time. "

This is great news because I can not afford to wait another 20-30 days for my card to be mailed. Only problem is I don't have a I-797 notice of approval for my I-765 yet. All I have is the DACA approval letter on my ELIS account. Did any of you receive the I797 notice letter for your EAD? If so, how long after approval did you receive it? Customer service rep said wait 30 days for the approval letter which doesn't help.
