It shows that you are currently authorized to work and it verifies expiration date. Does not show start date. Based on the above, sounds like some employers still need EAD but I would argue that on Form I-9, this fulfills Document B and C requirement. Look at number 8 on Document C listing. It doesn't say it has to be an I-797. It can be any document from DHS.
