I do not think the same. There are many other people, many much more talented whose lives are quite more miserable than ours. I work with people who have been waiting for 12 years and they can't get a green card. They have PhDs and are experts in their field. Their future is very uncertain as well, Trump has pledged to make it hard to take away their work privileges and many will have to go back. I am not saying we are not deserving, but we are not the only ones in trouble. Meeting these people has given me another look at the bigger problem. We are not the only ones suffering and tired of waiting. I wished we could be given lpr status, but it is no longer necessary, be thankful if they give us a chance to stay, and pursue your path to citizenship, whatever that may be.
