Mine was super early.
Expires: 4/19/17
Application sent/received within that 120-150 days period: 11/9/16
BIO appt: 12/16/16 (5 days ago!!!) - went on scheduled date, didn't want to mess up the process somehow by walking in early. That's just me lol
This is my second renewal. First renewal got approved less than 2 months from Bio appt and 2 months before expiration of then, current EAD. I'm an overstay with no criminal background. I don't consider myself a "complicated" case.
I'm excited, but im not going to get my hopes up till i get my card. I know beggers can't be choosers, but it does kind of suck that I might end up losing 4 months of EAD time lol. Anybody know if that will be the case?
And my 821 hasn't been updated yet. Should i be concerned?
Also, I can only imagine how stressful it's been for the people that have applied months ago and are still waiting. I'm genuinely sorry that you guys are going through that bs.

My old EAD doesn't expire until early march 2017. My second renewal got approved and the new EAD that just came in is post dated with an issue date of late febuary 2017 to 2019. so no months lost. I hope people are experiencing the same thing. Make sure you reference your A#, case number(s) with a cover sheet and a copy of your older EAD when applying for a renewal. Seemed to help in my case, or maybe I just got lucky.
