I did not get an RFE and I still waited pretty much the same amount of time that you did. At some point I started to believe that the reason some of us got delayed was for having a record but I do believe other people with clean records were delayed as well.

But that's a very good tip nonetheless. People need to include everything about their criminal records. You don't want them to think you're trying to hide it or something and more than likely it will help speed up the process.
