"criminals" can mean different things to different politicians and political groups. generally, politicians single out "criminals" as the ones they want to focus on deporting, but as we have seen, even with presidents who have had good intentions like Obama, many innocent families and individuals get caught in the crossfire and people defend or ignore it on the basis that they are "criminals" too because they broke the law by coming here illegally.

i personally find it extremely distasteful to have an attitude of "sucks for them" simply because we are hanging on a thread given to us by Obama. remember how it is we got here; we should not be indifferent or much less appeased that is it another immigrant group instead of us.
