this is something that should matter to the US government, but not something that should matter to us. i was two months old when i was brought here. did i make the choice? absolutely not. but i understand the reasons why my parents made this choice for themselves and for me.

so, just because it "was not my fault" does not mean i am suddenly better than the ones who did choose to come here illegally (provided that they had good intentions), e.g. parents, family members, friends.
