These statements are without fact. ICE might possibly detain someone with such history. It is not easy to get detained by ICE. Work on minimizing your risk of an encounter. Even if by really bad luck it happens. You should be fine.


The statement is meant to be political. ICE is brutal, and that is a fact. It depends on the agent, they way you look, etc.. Even what you are wearing.

What you need to do is to minimize any contact with law enforcement. Pretend you are in the shadows, pretend you are driving without a license.

I my 10 years of driving I had one encounter with the police and I did not have a DL. I am sure it could happen again, but we have DLs now.

It is hard enough for me to encounter a cop, let alone ICE.


Even if you ever encounter ICE, chances are you will be released. Also, I can guarantee you, that you will not be the first person to have such offense that will get apprehended. When it happens, and the person gets deported, then you can be sure about. No need to worry right now. Chances are such person would be released as well.
