My sister filed her work permit through a non-profit organization back in late February. The case was also filed through the Nebraska office, her biometrics appointment was scheduled for mid-March and on April 5th she received her work permit in the mail. I did not go through a non-profit organization to file mine. I ended up doing it myself since it was a bit cheaper. My application was submitted Mid-January, biometrics scheduled for February 1st and I still have not heard back from them. I am wondering if my application is taking longer since I did not have anyone submit it for me.
