I recommend U of Illinois (Urbana) it has a great reputation and will be much better for you.

Yes, that is how it works, but the main thing is that I already have bachelors and masters in ME with some experience in controls/software.
I like U of I, although, it is more expensive, and I already have two degrees, school reputation does not help me as much at all as much as my work experience. I will consider where to finish once I finish the prereqs, also, you are allowed to transfer up to 12 credit hours to most Master's programs.
