Wow! You've been waiting for 6 months! I didn't think they did interviews for I-130. I heard some rumors but wasn't sure.... and you still haven't gotten an interview? Where did your paperwork go..like a field office or service center. I now regret doing it separately.... I only did that because I don't have slot of money so if they denied my request at least i would only waste 500$ instead of 2000.

If they grant the I-130, you can then submit the I-485. Generally, its quickest to submit both applications together so that once the I-130 is approved, they can simultaneous approve the I-485. If you don't submit the I-485 concurrently, you have to wait however long it takes them to process it.
