Just let shit happen and hope for the best. If Democrats were in control, we would probably still have pessimists saying nothing is going to happen because Dems have other legislative priorities and Repubs won't compromise. Guys overthink shit sometimes.

This about the current state of the Democratic Party now, not the GOP. Please re-read my post on why I don't believe the DREAM ACT has a chance of passing. The Republicans may be open to compromise, the Democrats not so much. You can't pass an immigration relief bill without any immigration enforcement bill, that's just reality, and the democrats have already said NO, they want a clean immigration citizenship for all bill and that's just not going to happen.
Also, no 2010 is not any different then now, if anything right now things are way worse for the Democratic Party then what it was back then. I doubt any vulnerable democratic senator who is running for re-election would want to touch an immigration relief bill. Specially those that are in states that President Trump won overwhelmingly.
