I can only speak for myself, but I think that this illogical thinking that right wingers are throwing at us is a response to the illogical thinking of left wingers trying to defend us. If you so much as suggest that some undocumented immigrants should be deported due to some crimes, you will be labeled as an ignorant and hateful xenophobe by the left. I actually think that the left's failure to listen to the right's real concerns has us led to this rise of illogical argumentation.

I think that we can even see this in Trump's election. Trump was indeed a whitelash.... a whitelash against the left's unwillingness to listen to real concerns and feel so holier than thou as to even not even want to adress misconceptions.
