Again, I'm not looking at this issue from an emotional standpoint, I'm just being realistic. As much as I would like to see this compromise to happen it isn't and if it does, the Dream Act will look way different from what it was originally going to look like.

With or without future immigrants, Dem voter base will be very strong.
It is such a moot point to say Dems will protect their future voters.
Millennials are overwhelmingly liberal. Dems know this.
Curtailing unskilled legal immigrants will only help the Dem base.
