I'm signed up for RA. Currently in DEP like everyone else waiting for their CI interview.
I got a text from my recruiter last week scheduling me for the end of September.

I was hoping that we'd get an opportunity to sign a new contract, pick a new MOS and all. I like the folks at my unit and everything, but the day-to-day affairs of a 74D in reserves is mind-numbing boring. The benefit is that I've already served a year and a half of my contract, but I'd start all over again for an MOS that's more mentally stimulating and that I could transition into something in the civilian field.

I have signed a contract in March of last year but did not get to choose an MOS yet, they told me only after the clearance is complete.
As far as my recruiter told me, once my background check is complete, they'll call me up to MEPS again, where I'll sign a contract again, although this time I'll choose an MOS and negotiate an actual ship date.
My choice is Biomedical Equipment Specialist (68A), which is already related to what I do in the civilian field and would be a huge leg up for my carreer once I leave the army with 6 years of experience.
