As long as Trump is stuck in the border wall fight, he can't advance to the next step of his agenda, like making Sanctuary Cities illegal and deputizing all police as ICE deputies. This is why the border wall fight is so important, by halting Trump from making his next moves.

Democrats, Immigrant community advocates, and DACA activists see this and this is why they are opposing "DACA in exchange for Border Wall funding".
