It is America first, and rightly so.
Congress is not going to sit around and chat immigration while thousands if not, millions of people including elderly, disabled, and children are displaced and in shelters because their homes are inhabitable.
Imagine the backlash from it's citizens.
Most of us have waited 20+yrs, a few more weeks/months is nothing.

It's going to take time though to assess the damages and the relief needed. Congress isn't going to know what needs to be in the bill until that is all done. It's an excuse to delay DACA hearing, especially without rescheduling it quickly.
