Riz Ahmed, Elisabeth Moss, Kathryn Hahn and Judith Light are just a few of the stars sporting the ribbon; some pinned them onto their lapels while others got a little more creative: Moss put hers on her blush-colored clutch. They were all supporting the same thing, however: The ribbons are part of the ACLU's #StandWithACLU initiative launched in February to give creative artists an opportunity to express their support for the organization. Sunday night's ribbon-wearers are specifically spreading support for the Dream Act to protect DACA recipients. A rep for ACLU provided the following statement:
The ACLU fights for Dreamers and DACA, just as we defend the rights of ALL immigrants and for all people regardless of race, sexual or gender orientation or religion. The ACLU seeks to compel Congress to pass the Dream Act to and we care enough to use our voices to protect them.
