They can still go and raid neighborhoods though. Cities usually don't stand in their way, they just don't inform ICE if you are booked. They came to the Mission here in SF last year and SF is "sanctuary" as it can get.

I personally hate the term, not sure why pro immigration people still use it, it's not smart. People think sanctuary cities are safe heavens for undocumented people, that's not the case.
