**Yes I'm aware we can petition parents as a LPR but by the time their Priority date is current it would have been the same as waiting until the DACA recipient was a US citizen

I'm aware of all of this, but you have to remember, you have people who blame us for being illegal and lazy for not "getting in line and applying for citizenship" All it takes is a few uneducated stories to put out those 2 million numbers and it'll create a wave of resistance towards any bill that grants us Citizenship, especially since Trump has already came out and rejected the idea. That woman from the "center for immigration studies" at the Commitee hearing yesterday already said about 2.4 million would benefit if we got Citizenship. You will have people pushing those numbers. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Trump changes his mind in the coming days when the White House releases is frame work, if it ever does.
