Well, I had someone else sponsor me because my wife didnt make the cut. We have been married for a few months, for that reason, we filled out our taxes individually. I am not sure of uscis takes joint taxes as proof of income. This os what I know for sure, given that you have no kids, she needs to prove that she made at least $25,525 last year AND that she will make that amount or more this year. If she made below that amount (even by a penny), you need to get a green card holder or US citizen to sponsor you.
Maybe someone with more experience can shed some light into this.
