It’s the system feeding itself. You cant have a society where peace triumphs. It’s advocated by those in power, because it sounds good and it’s the right thing to say. I’m reality, the system needs chaos. If there’s no crime, there’s no need for police. The absence of police means there’s an absence of a justice system. Let me stray away and expand this on a global level. World peace is not the end game for those in charge. The military industrial complex relies on world conflict to keep itself alive. If there are no wars, then there’s no constant demand for the latest military weaponry. The world functions in a state of anarchy and chaos. Wars are not necessarily needed. The illusion of a threat is all that is needed to keep this system running on all cylinders. I recall Eisenhower warning americans and the world about the military industrial complex in one of his final speeches as president. To this day, that speech has mainted its prevalence. It has tested the time beyond the Cold War. I work close to Lockheed Martin in Mountain View, CA., always something going on there.
