And not to mention they literally have all the momentum heading into the 2018 elections. At this point, it’s absurd for us to think they’ll be willing to risk a shutdown over us. The American people see how dysfunctional the GOP is right now and they expect someone to start acting like adults and govern and that’s were the Democrats come in. I think there's an arguments for both strategies for Dems - shutting down or not shutting down over DREAM Act. The Democrats do need to remember that once they lose this leverage they will be forced to concede a lot more on border security/enforcement to get BRIDGE Act or allow DREAMers to be at a real risk of deportation.
