I think we all learned our lesson. Also, national lobbyists groups like America's Voice and NILC fed the press and immigrant communities the belief that the next election and president will solve the issue and would silence those who challenged the strategy used by the previous administration.
Definitely, I agree with you. People need to stop putting so much blind faith in candidates. Neither party will do anything for us if we keep doing that. Like with Obama. When he was first elected I think a lot of us were so certain that he could get something done. He didn’t and as a last resort he put DACA in place. That was awesome on his part but we should have never let up on the pressure for the Dream Act. When talks of DAPA started I think our community almost backed off completely from pressuring for CIR thinking that DAPA was going to be the solution.
