You cannot accept that kicking the can down the road is ok. I don't trust McConnell. I think the GOP is trying to make the Democrats lose their leverage. If the Dems are not willing at the very least to threaten with a government shutdown, what makes all of you think the Democrats will be willing to shut the government down on the 19th if the GOP once again decides it needs more time to find a fix to a solution?

Democrats are asking tbe immigrant community, progressives, and the American public to trust a group of ***6*** Republicans and 1 lonely Democrat - Durbin- who make up this negotiating group. We need to wait to see what repubs, Trump, Miller, oh, and Durbin over there in the corner, for God only knows what monstruosity of an immigration bill????
Let that sink and tell me if they'd go in public and ask the same of other Americans and tell them to trust McConnell to advance the Democratic agenda.
