My company provided an immigration lawyer, shes fighting this currently, she called the officer directly and the officer will escalate to supervisor. He is adamant about the DD214 as well as going to basic first before naturalization which my lawyer countered that 1 day of qualifying service is sufficient. I also linked my lawyer to the Kirwa case.
When the officer called me I asked 'so going to drill and getting paid is not considered honorable? You're saying the army is wasting their money?' and he was stumped and just said well how come you haven't been to basic bla bla bla.
